Discover Ocean Drive
Ocean Drive is a lively playground with a diverse mix of activities and events. As you explore this neighborhood, you'll find everything from sun and sand to shag music, and the historical OD Pavilion.
History of the Neighborhood
Discover the roots of North Myrtle Beach in Ocean Drive, where the Carolina Shag and classic beach music first came alive in the 1940s. The quick and smooth dance found its rhythm with classic “beach music” in popular clubs like Fat Harold’s.
Grab a bite at Hoskins Restaurant, a Main Street staple since 1948, still serving timeless Southern classics in vintage charm. The restaurant still has the same look, service, and flavors as they did when they opened.
